KUALA SELANGOR, April 24 — The Selangor government has allocated almost RM2 million to all mosques in the state during Ramadan.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the RM5,000 contribution for each mosque is to implement activities during the fasting month.

“We have more than 400 mosques in Selangor and several districts such as Gombak have received this allocation,” he said at the Ihya Ramadan ceremony at the Ar-Rahmani Mosque in Kampung Permatang, in Kuala Selangor.

At the ceremony, he also presented an RM275,000 contribution for 55 mosques in the district.

Amirudin said he was also satisfied with the adherence to the standard operating procedure (SOPs) by the congregation at several mosques he had visited on his Ramadan tour.
