SHAH ALAM, April 8 — The Selangor government will be looking into the development planning of the state in the next 10 years to balance out the current situation.
Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said several policies have to be improved, which also includes medium-term planning, following the Covid-19 outbreak.
“Previously we had formulated a progress and development planning until 2030, but now it requires some adjustments.
“We are committed to ensuring that the development in the state runs smoothly,” said Amirudin in his address during the 2020 Excellent Service Award (APC) ceremony at the Dewan Jubli Perak, Selangor State Secretariat building, here yesterday.
On March 29, Amirudin had said that the Selangor government plans to revise its 2021 budget after the Hari Raya festival as the Covid-19 pandemic has yet to show signs of easing down.
He said that new expenditures must be formulated by postponing certain projects to enable more assistance to be channelled to the low-income groups and small traders.
