SHAH ALAM, April 14 — The Selangor government has carried out the free Covid-19 community screening at 33 locations in six districts across the state as of March 11.
Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the initiative is targeted at high-risk areas to stop the spread of the Covid-19 infection within the community.
“The community screening is part of the state government’s efforts to curb the spread of the outbreak,” said the Menteri Besar on a Facebook post, yesterday.
On April 4, Amirudin said almost 20,000 people in the state have participated in the testing programme.
The Selangor government has allocated RM6 million for the free Covid-19 testing initiative, which aims to see 50,000 individuals across the state to be screened.
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) is utilised to determine where the free community screenings for Covid-19 in the state should be held.
