Over 56,000 individuals tested in 26 Selangor constituencies, 2,383 suspected positive Covid-19

SHAH ALAM, May 28 — A total of 2,383 individuals are suspected to be Covid-19 positive following the free Covid-19 community screening programme carried out at 26 state assembly constituencies in Selangor, as of Thursday.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari on Facebook today shared that 50,898 people had participated in 24 constituencies. The latest data recorded in Kota Anggerik and Kota Damansara yesterday brought the total figure to 56,463.

 

“In Kota Anggerik, a total of 2,548 individuals had taken part in the free screening while 3,017 people had participated in Kota Damansara.

“The state government will continue and expand further the efforts,” he said.

Meanwhile, in a separate posting yesterday, Amirudin had reminded the public that the screening will continue in Klang, Sepang and Kuala Langat from May 31 to June 4.

The public is also advised to preregister themselves via the SELangkah app or screening.selangkah.my/login to ensure a smooth process.

The free Covid-19 screening initiative by the state government is being carried out at 56 state constituencies in Selangor from May 8 until June 10.
