Temporary closure of MBSJ building after 11 employees test positive for Covid-19

SHAH ALAM, May 3 — A total of 11 Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ) employees have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past week, says its mayor.

Noraini Roslan said the MBSJ headquarters in USJ 5, Subang Jaya, will be temporarily closed beginning today to allow thorough disinfection operation.

“As for the service counters, it will be closed for 14 days until May 14 for disinfection works and as a proactive measure to contain the outbreak.

“Due to the reported cases detected, all close contacts have been ordered to undergo Covid-19 screening and quarantine in compliance with the standard operating procedure,” she said in a statement.

Noraini said the public are advised to use the online services via www.mbsj.gov.my, carry out transactions using the MBSJ kiosks or contact the MBSJ control centre at 03-8024 7700.

“We apologise for the conveniences caused during the temporary closure and will update on the latest situation from time to time,” she added.
