Viral message on vaccine registration in Selangor untrue, refer official sources

SHAH ALAM, May 17 — The Selangor government has today denied a viral message that claims the state administration will be opening up immunisation registration to the people of Selangor, describing it as false.

In a statement today, the message that was shared on the WhatsApp application was said to have included the statement that “the Selangor government is rolling out additional 500k (500,000) Sinovac vaccines to Selangorians.”

“We would like to emphasise that the viral message is fake and untrue.

“Any statement or official announcement on the Covid-19 vaccine in Selangor will only be issued by Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari (Selangor Menteri Besar) or Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud (Public Health, Unity, Women Empowerment and Family Committee chairman),” the statement read, issued by Dr Siti Mariah’s office.
