Bukit Gasing rep offers mental health service to those affected by lockdown

SHAH ALAM, June 8 — The Bukit Gasing community service centre is offering mental health services to the people in the constituency at a fee a low as RM50 per session.

State assemblyman Rajiv Rishyakaran said the initiative, in collaboration with non-governmental organisation (NGO) Relate Mental Health, is to address mental health issues following the implementation of the full movement control order (MCO) from June 1.

“Usually, the service is rated at RM300 per session but we have subsidised the amount to encourage those who are facing mental health issues to seek professional psychological support.

“I hope those who are affected (face psychological distress) would take up this opportunity and would not feel embarrassed to come forward,” he told SelangorKini yesterday.

Rajiv added 50 slots of therapy session are currently open and those interested can register via https://forms.gle/HXNaBp1mQs7TYLYq6.
