AMPANG, June 27 — A total of 35 individuals were suspected Covid-19 positive following the free screening conducted at Hulu Klang and Bukit Antarabangsa constituencies today.

Hulu Klang state assemblyman Saari Sungib said the results at 11am showed that Covid-19 infection is still in the community.

“The preliminary results showed that the percentage of infections in the community is still high because it came from 600 screened participants.

“All suspected Covid-19 positive individuals will have to undergo Real-Time Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) test to confirm the infection status,” he said at the Dewan Serbaguna MPAJ AU5 today.

Apart from that, he said vaccination for the community should speed up so that the risk from being exposed to Covid-19 can be reduced.

The third phase of the free Covid-19 community screening for state constituencies started last Saturday at Seri Setia and Taman Medan followed by Gombak Setia, Sungai Tua and Taman Templer and followed by yesterday in Kajang and ended today in Hulu Klang and Bukit Antarabangsa.
