SHAH ALAM, June 15 — Selangor police have issued 2,251 compounds notices for various standard operating procedure (SOP) violations since the first phase of the full movement control order (MCO) was enforced on June 1.

Selangor police chief Datuk Arjunaidi Mohamed said the three major offences committed were not practising social distancing, not wearing a face mask and not scanning MySejahtera, in a report by Berita Harian today.

“The compound notices is were issued in the last 13 days until June 13. The highest offence was for not practising social distancing with 541 compounds.

“Followed by not wearing a face mask with 523 compounds and not scanning the MySejahtera QR code with 238 compounds,” he told media during an online press conference here yesterday.

According to Arjunaidi, during their monitoring in the enforcement period, police noticed the level of compliance among the people in Selangor was good.

“Only a handful of Selangor people still fail by disobeying and taking it easy, floutings the simplest SOPs on social distancing and face mask.

“This should be second nature to everyone by now, but there are still those who want to take it easy by not wearing face masks and gathering.

“There are also employers who failed to record their employee’s attendance or get the workers to scan the MySejahtera QR code,” he said.
