SHAH ALAM, June 10 — Selangor is prepared to share its experience to the public in executing the free Covid-19 mass screenings via video and published articles, said its Menteri Besar.

Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the challenges to holding the programme, in the beginning, began with a lack of response and to this day, more than 1,600 individuals would take part in the initiative.

“It is a valuable experience and we are ready to share it with the public. We are currently in the midst of preparing videos and articles on how the screenings were managed.

“We will also share some of the challenges because if we made a wrong move and do not comply with the SOPs (standard operating procedure) or had not given clear instructions to those who were suspected of having Covid-19, the locations where the screenings were held could have become a starting point of infection,” he said during a live talk show titled ‘Kita Selangor Package 2.0: Strategy to Manage Covid-19, Strengthen Economy’ on Astro Awani last night.

Selangor has held the mass screening operation throughout its 56 state constituencies beginning May 8 until today.

As of yesterday, a total of 95,561 individuals in 52 state constituencies have participated in the programme.
