SHAH ALAM, July 30 — A total of 1.11 million or 23.3 per cent of the Selangor population have completed their second doses of Covid-19 vaccine as of today, says Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

According to the infographics shared on the Menteri Besar Facebook today, a total of 3.02 million or 63.5 per cent people in the state have received their first jab.

He said 4.12 million vaccine doses have been administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK), while an additional 158,929 vaccine doses were delivered under the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax).

On July 16, Amirudin said all of the Selangor citizens who have registered for the vaccine will at least receive one dose of vaccine by August 1.

Under the Selvax initiative for the industrial sector (Selvax Industry), Selangor has provided two million vaccine doses to one million workers, including foreigners, as an effort to prevent the outbreak at workplaces.

Meanwhile, under Selvax Community, a total of 250,000 people will benefit from the 500,000 vaccine doses provided by the state government for free.
