129,835 SPM holders offered admission to IPTA

BATU PAHAT, July 17 — A total of 129,835 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) holders have been offered places at public universities, polytechnics, community colleges and public skills training institutions (IPTA) for the 2021/2022 academic session which will begin in August.

Higher Education Ministry (M0HE) director-general Datuk Dr Husaini Omar said the unsuccessful applicants, however, can submit their appeal from yesterday until July 26.

“The offer is usually made in accordance with the student’s SPM results. They can check the result of their application via the UPUOnline system and the offer letter can be printed from tomorrow,” he told a press conference after the visit of MOHE Minister Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad to the vaccination centre (PPV) at Dewan Sultan Ibrahim, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), here, yesterday.

On Thursday, the MOHE announced that the results of applications for admission to those institutions can be checked online starting yesterday.
