SHAH ALAM, July 16 — A total of 2,408 business licence applications were submitted online to the Petaling Jaya City Council (MBPJ) throughout January until June.
Its Corporate Communication assistant director Ahmad Iskandar Mohamad Mukhtar said from the total number, 1,392 applicants or 60 per cent applied for temporary permit and advertisement.
“That is the highest number we received from the traders followed by the management office trade with 1,016 applications. The application service is open to the public at all times to facilitate the traders in applying their business licences,” he told SelangorKini when contacted today.
The MBPJ online application service includes licences for outdoor advertising, temporary advertising, management office trade, food establishment and micro entrepreneur permit.
The move will help to curb the risk of Covid-19 infections within the community.
