34 CACs available in Selangor, avoid crowdedness at Malawati Stadium

SHAH ALAM, July 7 — Covid-19 patients in Selangor are advised to visit other assessment centres (CAC) available in the state to check on their health status and or referral for follow-up treatments.

Selangor State Health Department (JKNS) director Datuk Dr Sha’ari Ngadiman said there are 34 CACs operating across the state located in each district.

“If one has been tested (Covid-19) positive, I urge that these individuals would visit the closest assessment centre available. This is to prevent congestion, especially seen at the Malawati Stadium in Shah Alam yesterday.

“I understand many prefer to go there because of the available parking bays, convenience and size. But, I hope that those who are infected would visit the CACs located in their respective districts,” said Dr Sha’ari in a talk show on Astro Awani last night.

The CAC was set up in January to assess a Covid-19 patient’s health conditions as to whether they should be under home quarantine, sent to a quarantine centre or referred for further treatment at the hospital.
