KAJANG, July 26 — Some 90 per cent of the community in Kajang are expected to complete their two doses of the Covid-19 vaccines by September.
Its state representative Hee Loy Sian said the figure cited includes the recipient under both the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) and Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax).
“To date, more than 30 per cent (of the community) have completed both doses and the number had risen due to the vaccination centres opened to help with the immunisation process.
“Those who have yet to receive their appointments via MySejahtera have been urged to sign up via the SELangkah application,” he said when met at the Selvax programme at Dewan Seri Cempaka, here today.
Hee had also called for the public to not be selective over the Covid-19 vaccine that they have been offered.
“Everyone should take this opportunity and not be picky because all of the vaccines have been recognised by the World Health Organisation (WHO),” he said.
On June 30, the state government had launched the Selvax Community and Selvax Industry initiatives to expedite the immunisation process in the state.
The programme aims to benefit 1.25 million individuals in Selangor, targeting those in the low-income groups, senior citizens and industrial workers.
