Almost 16.5 million Covid-19 vaccine doses administered as of July 23

KUALA LUMPUR, July 24 — A total of 16,487,158 doses have been administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) since it was launched on February 24, said Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba.

In a Twitter post, he said that as at 11.59pm last night, 5,264,760 individuals or 16.1 per cent of the country’s population have received the full two doses of Covid-19 vaccine.

“A total of 34.4 per cent or 11,222,398 individuals have received their first jab,” he said.

On the daily vaccination rate, Dr Adham said 462,242 doses were administered yesterday, involving 301,536 individuals getting their first jab and 160,706 their second.
