PETALING JAYA, July 1 — Bandar Utama state assemblyman Jamaliah Jamaluddin said they are compiling a list of names of those who are eligible for immunisation under the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax).

She said a detailed check will be done before registration for the programme is open as each state constituency is allocated a quota of 2,600 individuals.

Jamaliah said its targetted recipients include recipients of the existing Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat (IPR) such as Skim Mesra Usia Emas (SMUE), Kasih Ibu Smart Selangor (KISS) and Skim Peduli Sihat.

“It also includes individuals who have contributed to the state’s economy such as small traders, e-hailing drivers and those who constantly engage with the local communities.

“Aside from that, considerations will also be given to special cases such as persons with disabilities (OKUs), those with critical illness and have yet to get a vaccination appointment via MySejahtera,” she said.

She said this after inspecting the installation of closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera to overcome the issue of illegal dumping of rubbish at SS20 housing estate here yesterday.

Meanwhile, Jamaliah said each state assemblyman have their own planning to ensure their constituents get the vaccine and help complement the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.

“For example, Bandar Utama does not have many factories compared to other state constituencies, so obviously we will not focus on factory workers,” she said.

Selvax, which comprises of Selvax Community and Selvax Industry, was launched by the state government to complement and expedite vaccine delivery to the community and industrial workers in Selangor.

The programme will benefit 1.25 million people in the state and the targeted recipients include those in the low-income group (B40), senior citizens and Inisiatif Peduli Rakyat recipients.
