SHAH ALAM, July 19 — The Covid-19 testing operation for symptomatic residents at Pangsapuri Bandar Bukit Tinggi 1 in Klang, which has been placed under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO), will be held on Wednesday.

Klang district officer Mohd Zainal Mohd Nor said the District Health Office (PKD) is currently carrying out a census to assess the health status of 2,875 residents in 998 housing units.

“As of now, the screening will focus on the individuals with symptoms. However, the PKD will do a risk evaluation to decide whether asymptomatic individuals need to undergo the screening as well or not.

“For those who are not showing symptoms, they will be vaccinated on Saturday,” he told SelangorKini when contacted.

He added that a total of 1,000 food baskets will be distributed to the residents door-to-door.

On July 16, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob had announced that four more localities in four Selangor districts will be placed under the EMCO for two weeks from July 18.

The areas are Damai Apartment in Damansara, Petaling; Jalan Pandan Indah in Ampang, Hulu Langat; Jalan Batu Nilai in Klang, Klang and Taman Samudera in Batu, Gombak.
