MB: 14.75 pct of Selangor population fully vaccinated against Covid-19

SHAH ALAM, July 21 — A total of 700,000 individuals or 14.75 per cent of the Selangor population have received two doses of Covid-19 vaccine as of July 20, says Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said 2.84 million doses of vaccine have been administered in the state through the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK).

“2.14 million individuals or 45.1 per cent (of the Selangor population) had received the first dose (of Covid-19 vaccine).

“Under the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax), an additional 79,657 doses have been administered,” he said on Facebook, today.

On July 18, Amirudin had said that the state government is targeting to hit a 300,000 daily vaccination rate by the end of the month.

On June 30, the Menteri Besar had launched the Selvax initiative as one of the efforts by the state government to speed up the vaccination rate in Selangor.

A total of 2.5 million doses of vaccine are allocated for 1.25 million individuals in the state, which includes 500,000 million doses for the community under Selvax Community and two million doses for Selvax Industry.
