MB: 20.9 pct Selangor population fully vaccinated against Covid-19

SHAH ALAM, July 28 — A total of 994,000 individuals or 20.9 per cent of the Selangor population have completed two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine as of today.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari in a Facebook post stated that the cumulative total of vaccine doses administered to the people in the state via the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) stands at 3.82 million.

An infographic shared on his post showed that 2.83 million people in Selangor, or 59.6 per cent of the state population, have received their first dose.

Amirudin said an additional 134,837 doses were delivered via the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax).

Earlier today, the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) stated that as of July 27, the recorded daily vaccination rate in Selangor is at 141,182 out of the total 553,871 doses of vaccines administered nationwide.

On July 18, Amirudin had said that the daily vaccination rate in Selangor would be able to reach 300,000 doses by the end of the month.
