SHAH ALAM, July 6 — The RM20 transportation rebate that can be redeemed when using Grab’s e-hailing service to vaccination centres (PPV) is now open to all age groups in Selangor, says Menteri Besar Dato’ Amirudin Shari.

In a virtual press conference on Facebook today, Amirudin said the move was made to facilitate and encourage the public to be present for their scheduled vaccine appointments.

“Vaccine has now become an essential especially to those of age 18 and above. Therefore we decided to offer the transportation rebate to all individuals who are eligible to be vaccinated.

“A total of RM1 million will be allocated for this initiative. Each individual will enjoy a RM20 rebate (RM10 for one way) if they use GrabCar to go to the PPV,” he said.

On June 9, Amirudin had announced the rebate initiative under the Kita Selangor Package 2.0, which was initially offered to the people of Selangor aged 50-years-old and above.

The registration period to sign up for the initiative opens on June 20, and 50,000 individuals are expected to benefit from it.
