Selangor Smart Bus routes diverted to serve vaccination centres

SHAH ALAM, July 3 — The state government has diverted several Smart Selangor Bus routes to serve 11 vaccination centres (PPVs) in order to provide service to people going for their immunisation.

State executive councillor for public transportation Ng Sze Han said this is only a temporary measure and will commence until the vaccination centres are closed.

“This routes diversion will enable the people to attend their appointment at the vaccination centres especially for those who do not possess their own transportation,” he said in a statement today.

He said more routes diversion are being identified and will be announced from time to time, with hopes that more vaccination centres can be served by Smart Selangor Bus.

“These initiatives and efforts will indirectly help increase the capacity of vaccine recipients in Selangor and help achieve herd immunity,” he said.

After the diversion, Selangor Smart Bus new routes will serve 11 vaccination centres as listed below:

Subang Jaya City Council (MBSJ)
SJ01 — Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre
SJ04 — PPV Hospital Pengajar UPM, PPV Mines Convention Centre and PPV Hospital Serdang

Klang Municipal Council (MPK)
MPK1 — PPV Pandamaran

Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj)
KJ02 — PPV Bangi Avenue Convention Centre
KJ04 — PPV Bangi Golf Resort and PPV Evo Bangi

Kuala Selangor Municipal Council (MDKS)
KS01 — PPV Stadium Kuala Selangor and PPV Dewan Tan Sri Noh Omar, Tanjung Karang
KS02 — PPV Dewan Berlian
