SHAH ALAM, July 6 — The state government will provide free sim cards to Grab riders as an appreciation to Grab Malaysia in helping the people of Selangor.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the initiative will help to lower Grab Malaysia’s operating costs.

“The collaboration between the state government and Grab Malaysia has yielded a positive impact to the people in Selangor.

“Therefore, we are always on the lookout for more opportunities and collaborations which can help our people during these challenging times.

“I am thankful that the collaboration with Grab Malaysia has created many opportunities for the people in Selangor,” he said during a virtual press conference on Facebook, today.

The press conference was held in conjunction with the signing ceremony of a strategic collaboration between Menteri Besar Selangor (Incorporated) (MBI) and Grab Malaysia to spearhead the digitalisation agenda in Selangor.

The agreement was inked by MBI chief executive officer Norita Mohd Sidek and Grab Malaysia Public Affairs and Policy director Ebi Azly Abdullah.
