SHAH ALAM, Aug 20 — The launch of kitaselangor.my portal has made it convenient for those who want to apply for any initiatives under the Kita Selangor 2.0 Package.

Smart Selangor Delivery Unit (SSDU) managing director Dr Fahmi Ngah said the applicants are only required to press the ‘Apply Here’ button and choose from the list of 24 initiatives provided under the package.

He said then the applicants must submit their personal information or company details and proceed to submission by clicking the ‘submit application’ button.

“They will receive a notification via email and each application for assistance or initiative will be directed to the department in charge.

“To know whether the assistance quota is still available or have been fully utilised, the public can refer to the execution progress for each initiative displayed on the homepage of the portal,” he said when contacted by SelangorKini yesterday.

Fahmi said the portal which was developed by SSDU and the state Economic Planning Unit (Upen) has received over 5,800 applications after two days of its launch.

“This is something good as it helps to facilitate the state’s citizens who want to apply for assistance without having to refer to different agencies as before.

“It is aligned with the wish of Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari who wants to ease the people’s process of applying for the initiatives provided by the state government,” he said.

On June 9, Amirudin had announced the Kita Selangor 2.0 Package worth RM551.56 million which targets to benefit those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic such as low-income groups, entrepreneurs, students and tourism players.
