MB: Five mln Covid-19 vaccine doses administered in Selangor

SHAH ALAM, Aug 6 — A cumulative total of 5 million vaccine doses had been administered to the Selangor people via the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme (PICK) so far.

In a Facebook post today, Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari stated a total of 1.59 million individuals in Selangor or 33.4 per cent of the state population, have completed two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine as of August 6.

An infographic shared on his post showed that 3.4 million people in Selangor, or 71.7 per cent of the state population, have received their first dose.

Amirudin said an additional 232,670 doses were delivered via the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax).

Earlier today, the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply (JKJAV) shared in an infographic on Twitter stating the recorded daily vaccination rate in Selangor on August 5 is at 110,034 out of the total 514,674 doses of vaccines administered nationwide.
