Selangor state assembly to convene from Aug 23 to Sept 6

SHAH ALAM, Aug 19 — The Selangor State Legislative Assembly will meet for nine days from August 23 to September 6 at the Annex Building, here.

Sultan of Selangor Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Alhaj is scheduled to grace the opening ceremony of the First Meeting of the 14th State Assembly on August 23.

The session will start from August 24 to August 27; August 30; September 1 to September 3; and on September 6.

On July 9, Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the sitting is not a special session and will follow the usual format involving the Questions and Answers and debate sessions.

He stressed that the sitting will be conducted according to the strict standard operating procedures to avoid the Covid-19 outbreak.

All individuals involved including media practitioners are required to be fully vaccinated and undergo the Covid-19 swab test prior to the sitting.
