SHAH ALAM, Sept 5 — Water supply in five regions inclusive of 463 areas, which has been disrupted since Friday following the odour pollution detected in Sungai Semenyih, has been fully restored.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said water supply in all five affected regions in Petaling, Hulu Langat, Sepang, Putrajaya and Kuala Langat, have fully recovered at 12pm today.

“Air Selangor would like to thank the consumers for their patience and cooperation during this unscheduled water supply disruption period,” it said in a statement on Facebook today.

Latest updates from time to time are available on the Air Selangor application, website www.airselangor.com as well as Air Selangor social media platforms including FacebookInstagram and Twitter.

On Friday, Selangor Water Management Authority (Luas) had received a report from Air Selangor of the odour pollution up to 2 TON (Threshold Odour Number) detected at the River Monitoring System (RMS) Kg Sungai Buah at 4pm.

It forced a temporary shutdown of the Sungai Semenyih WTP, which led to unscheduled water supply disruptions to 463 areas in five Air Selangor regions.

The five regions are namely Petaling (172 areas), Hulu Langat (54), Sepang (194), Putrajaya (23) and Kuala Langat (20).
