Complete staff vaccination before opening, businesses told

SHAH ALAM, Sept 14 — Employers are reminded to ensure that their staff are fully vaccinated before reopening their businesses.

Batu Tiga state assemblyman Rodziah Ismail said failure to do so will dampen the state’s effort in trying to achieve herd immunity.

“The Federal government has a policy where those who are not vaccinated are not allowed to enter certain premises. However, it turns out that even the staff of some businesses have yet to be fully vaccinated.

“Should that happen, customers should refrain from entering the premises and report it to the authorities,” she said after visiting the Batu Tiga constituency mobile Selangor Vaccination Programme at Kompleks Padang Jawa, yesterday.

Rodziah, who is also the state executive councillor, proposed that the Federal government be more strict in ensuring that the entire workforce is fully vaccinated, and not just the customers.

Meanwhile, she said a total of 300 vaccine doses had been allocated to the Batu Tiga constituents and the vaccination vehicle of choice was a van loaned from Avisena Hospital.

The mobile vaccination programme will be on for a week and will make visits to Bandar Baru Klang, Batu Tiga, Tanjung Sepat, Hulu Bernam, Gombak Setia, Bukit Antarabangsa, Batang Kali, Banting, Teratai, Dengkil and Kampung Tunku.
