SHAH ALAM, Sept 27 — Around 60 homes in Section 4 and Section 10 were affected following flash floods that engulfed the district yesterday evening.

20 houses were immersed in water in Section 4, while Section 10 saw 40 houses affected in the incident that began at 5.30pm and subsided by 9pm.

No loss of lives or serious damage to property were reported.

Kota Anggerik assemblyman Najwan Halimi dan Shah Alam MP Khalid Samad visited some of the residents affected by the flash floods.

The Kota Anggerik Community Service Centre also contributed aid to relieve the residents’ burden in clearing up their homes.

“The incident in Section 13 was caused by overflowing from the Damansara River. The river should have been made deeper as it can no longer accommodate that much water,” said Najwan.
