SELangkah digital cert accepted, state efforts recognised

SHAH ALAM, Sept 10 — SELangkah digital vaccination certificate can now be used by fully vaccinated individuals under the Selangor Vaccination Programme (Selvax) as a confirmation document for their daily activities.

Selangor Public Health, Unity, Women and Family Development Committee chairman Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud said the acceptance is an affirmation of the state initiative to fight the pandemic.

“The state government sees the decision to allow the use of SELangkah vaccination certificate as a form of recognition of the initiative implemented by Selangor to complement the Federal government
efforts to address the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Therefore, Selangor citizens who have not yet received a digital vaccination certificate on MySejahtera can now use the vaccination certificate in the SELangkah application as a confirmation document during their daily activities,” she said in a statement today.

On Wednesday, the Selangor government has requested the Covid-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF) to allow vaccine recipients under Selvax to use their SELangkah digital vaccination certificates temporarily.

According to state executive councillor for public health Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud, SELangkah has sent records of 159,919 Selvax recipients to MySejahtera but 3,632 individuals have yet to receive their digital vaccination certificates.

Yesterday, Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin announced that individuals who have been vaccinated through the Selvax could use a digital certificate in SELangkah until they obtain a digital certificate in the MySejahtera application.
