Selangor Xtiv Virtual introduces new online games

SHAH ALAM, Sept 8— The state government will introduce several new online games in the Selangor Xtiv Virtual 2021 e-sports competition.

State executive councillor for sports Mohd Khairuddin Othman said the new challenges that will be introduced this month are Jump Rope, Freestyle Football and Bicycle Ride.

“The existing challenges are well received but we want to introduce new games in order to increase the number of people participating in Selangor Xtiv Virtual.

“So far as of September 7, we have received a total of 218,887 entries for the seven challenges and this is close to 50 per cent of our target of 450,000 participants,” he told SelangorKini.

The Selangor Xtiv Virtual  2021 e-sports competition offers seven types of games from March to December with a total prize pool of RM411,680.

The challenges include PUBG games, Mobile Legends Bang Bang, Call of Duty Mobile, Pro Evolution Soccer 2021, FIFA Pro Club, Selangor Xtiv Virtual Ride and Selangor Xtiv Virtual Jump Rope Challenge.

Last year, the programme received an overwhelming response involving 250,631 entries and 18 million views on social media platforms.
