Don’t be complacent, continue to abide by SOPs even if Covid-19 cases drop, says MB

SHAH ALAM, Sept 27 — The Selangor Mentri Besar has urged the public to continue adhering to the standard operating procedures (SOP) even though the daily number of Covid-19 cases in the country has dropped to 979 cases today.

Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the wearing of face masks in public, social distancing, and self-hygiene must always be upheld.

He said today’s cases is the lowest since May 4, which saw 675 cases.

“Although the recorded cases have seen a drop, we cannot be complacent and careless.

“Continue to observe the SOPs, wear face masks in public, maintain social distancing, and self-hygiene,” Amirudin said on Twitter today.

Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Covid-19 cases in Selangor today have dropped to 979 cases, compared to 1,558 cases yesterday.

The nationwide infection cases also dropped to 10,959 cases today.
