Water supply restored to 34 pct of affected areas in Gombak

SHAH ALAM, Sept 26 — Water supply has been restored to 34 per cent of the 41 affected areas in Gombak following a burst pipe incident at Ampang Point Flyover, Jalan Ampang, as of 8am today.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) said the water supply recovery period differs from one area to another according to the location and distance of consumers’ premises.

“Water supply in all affected areas is expected to fully recover at 10pm today.

“Air Selangor would like to advise consumers who have and will receive their water supply to let the tap runs until the water is clear before using it for daily consumption,” said Air Selangor in a statement on Facebook.

Yesterday, a total of 41 areas in the Gombak region experienced unscheduled water supply disruptions following a burst pipe incident near the Ampang Point Flyover, Jalan Ampang.

Air Selangor completed emergency repair works on the burst pipe at 8:30pm, yesterday.
