SHAH ALAM, Sept 24 — Water supply has been restored to 82.5 per cent of six affected areas following a burst pipe incident at Persiaran Perusahaan in Section 23 here, as of 10am today.
In a statement today, Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) also advised consumers who get supplies to let the taps run until the water is clear before use.
“We hope the consumers will use water prudently to allow the recovery process in the other affected areas to run smoothly as scheduled,” the statement read.
Six areas in Shah Alam namely Section 19, Section 19, Section 20, Section 23, Section 24 and Section 25 experienced unscheduled water supply disruption following a burst pipe at Persiaran Perusahaan in Section 13, here, yesterday.
Earlier, Air Selangor said the repair works had been completed at 6am today.
Subsequently, the water supply has been restored in stages to the affected areas since 6.15am today.
