105 water tankers, 18 public taps on standby for next week

SHAH ALAM, Oct 8 — Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) will mobilise 105 water tankers to 998 areas in the Klang Valley to provide water for people affected by the scheduled water cut that starts on October 13.

The water operator will also provide 18 public water taps in the affected areas in Petaling, Klang/Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat dan Kuala Selangor.

As for Air Selangor’s business customers, water will be made available to them for purchase via four filling stations. Those who choose to purchase water through this method are advised to collect their water using their own tankers.

Payment for the water purchase can be made at all 10 Air Selangor Customer Service Counters in the state.

The water disruption was scheduled in order to carry out maintenance works on critical assets that require the temporary shutdown of the Sungai Selangor Phase 1 Water Treatment Plant.

The disruption is scheduled to begin from 9am onwards on October 13, with services expected to recover fully by 9pm on October 16.

The full list of affected areas, public water taps and water filling stations can be found at hentitugas.airselangor.com.

More information on the disruption can be accessed from Air Selangor’s mobile app and its Facebook, Instagram and Twitter accounts, or contact the agency at 15300.

Enquiries and complaints can be made to www.airselangor.com or the Air Selangor app.
