Residents advised to store water reserves, 105 filling tanks mobilised

SHAH ALAM, Oct 7 — Pengurusan Air Selangor will prioritise critical premises in affected areas during the scheduled water disruption, which begins on October 13.

In a statement, the agency said these premises include hospitals, dialysis centres, and funerals.

Throughout the maintenance works, 105 water tank lorries will be mobilised to the affected areas, and 18 public water pipes will be on the standby starting on October 14 to 16, for the convenience of customers throughout the period.

Commercial customers can purchase their supplies via the lorries at the four water filling stations, with payment at 10 Air Selangor customer service counters.

The improvement and maintenance of critical assets which requires the temporary shutdown of the Phase 1 Sungai Selangor Water Treatment Plant, which will affect 998 areas in the Petaling, Klang/Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat dan Kuala Selangor districts.

The disruption is scheduled to begin from 9am onwards on October 13 onwards, with services expected to recover fully by 9pm on October 16.
