SHAH ALAM, Oct 12 — The Jelajah Selangor Bekerja 2021 roadshow is set to offer Selangorians over 25,000 job opportunities when it commence on October 23 until November 27.

Taking place in a hybrid manner, youth development exco Mohd Khairuddin Othman said nearly 200 companies will participate in the roadshow, which takes place in Shah Alam, Kuala Selangor, Kuala Kubu Bharu, Hulu Langat, and Petaling.

He added the jobs available for prospective employees include those in the sectors of service, manufacturing, electronics, management, and aerospace.

“This programme is a proactive interaction field between job seekers and industry players, in addition to detailing career pathways based on personality inclinations and interests.

“The participating companies will prioritise locals, which has the added effect of reducing the unemployment rate in Selangor,” Khairuddin said after launching the roadshow at Dewan Jubli Perak in the State Secretariat Building earlier today.

He said he hopes that graduates, the unemployed, and those who have lost their jobs will take the opportunity to join the programme by registering at www.selangorbekerja.com.my.

During the roadshow, each applicant will take no more than an hour for job interviews. They are also required to provide vaccination proof, and register their entry via the MySejahtera or SELangkah apps.

The roadshow will take place at Dewan Jubli Perak in the State Secretariat Building on October 23, the Kuala Selangor Enclosed Stadium on October 30, Dewan Merdeka in Kuala Kubu Bharu on November 6, Dewan Demesne in Hulu Langat on November 13, Dewan Meranti in Paya Jaras on November 20, and once more at Dewan Jubli Perak on November 27.
