Industrial rebranding will attract more investment in Hulu Selangor

By Zareef Muzammil

SHAH ALAM, Oct 21 — The development of the Serendah High Value Industrial Park in Hulu Selangor will boost investors confidence to invest in the state.

Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said the rebranding of the industrial area —  which consists of modern ecosystem integration and vast nature elements — is expected to be completed by 2022.

“The effort to improve and upgrade the industrial areas has instantaneously attracted local and international investors.

“The industrial park is also equipped with sustainable facilities which subsequently will help to create positive working environment,” he said during the declaration ceremony of

Hulu Selangor Municipal Council earlier today.

Amirudin added that the Selangor Structure Plan 2035 has proposed two highly-potential clusters from the industrial parks to contribute to the state’s economy.

He said the clusters include the automotive and support industry, which are located at Serendah-Sungai Choh-Bukit Beruntung, as well as selected industries at Lembah Beringin-Bernam Jaya.

“The development of the automotive industry cluster will be the main cluster in the industrial development thus realising the country’s transportation manufacturing hub.

“The existing industry cluster account for 60.5 per cent of the investment value for the industrial sector in Hulu Selangor,” he said.
