MB announces travel discount to PPVs extended for teens

SHAH ALAM, Oct 2 — The RM20 transportation rebate for travelling to vaccination centres (PPV) by using e-hailing service Grab has been extended until November 30.

Selangor Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari said on Twitter that the rebate can be used by teenagers who are going to get vaccinated.

The rebate is in cooperation with Grab, and applications can be made by parents and guardians for their children and wards.

Prior to this, the RM1 million initiative which was included in the Kita Selangor 2.0 package was specifically for state residents aged 50 and above, which was slated to open up on June 20.

But on June 6, Amirudin announced the transportation rebate would now be opened to all Selangorians, regardless of age.

The rebate’s application was initially valid for travel to PPVs throughout Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, starting on July 1 until September 30.
