SHAH ALAM, Oct 1 — The Port Klang State Constituency Community Service Centre received 700 food boxes from the office of the Menteri Besar yesterday night.
Its assemblyman Azmizam Zaman Huri said the boxes include items like rice, cooking oil, instant noodles, flour, sugar, sardines, condensed milk, and kicap.
“Thank you to the Dato’ Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, for contributing basic food assistance to needy residents in the Port Klang area.
“God be praised, the boxes have been distributed by several of my representatives to residents who qualify and have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. May this help to alleviate their burdens,” he told SelangorKini.
At the same time, Azmizam also welcomed any non-governmental organisations or individuals, who wished to contribute any basic necessary goods by coming to his service centre.
“We encourage those who wish to contribute to come to the centre, assistance is always distributed from time to time as we do not want any families to lose their food supplies,” he said.
