SHAH ALAM, Oct 21 — Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari recently held an engagement session on the upcoming 2022 Selangor Budget with the state’s opposition and independent representatives.

Amirudin said the session, which took place on October 15 at the Concorde Hotel, was to discuss a more constructive budget that will benefit the people of Selangor.

“I appreciate it, and wish to thank the opposition and independent representatives,” he said in a Facebook post today.

The discussion was attended by Kuang assemblyman Sallehuddin Aminuddin, Sijangkang assemblyman Dato’ Dr Ahmad Yunos Hairi, Teratai assemblyman Lai Wai Chong, and Selangor Opposition representative Mohd Zaim Tawfek.

When contacted, Sallehuddin said the handling of illegal factories were among the issues discussed for consideration in the tabling of the State Budget, which is scheduled on November 26.

“I brought up the issues so the state can have a special team to deal with illegal factories. We do not want to rely solely on the local councils because it does not solve the problem,” he said.

On October 8, Amirudin said all state assemblymen will be involved in the preparation of the 2022 Budget which will be held separately in various forms and methods.
