State housing project’s innovative features hailed by MB

SHAH ALAM, Oct 27 — The Rumah Idaman project uses an industrial building system (IBS) and eco-friendly ready-to-install technology as part of its new features, said Menteri Besar Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.

He said the IBS can optimise construction costs without affecting the house’s quality, as well as reduce the dependency on foreign workers.

“With IBS, Rumah Idaman is becoming more affordable to own, since the construction costs have been optimised. Most importantly the quality of affordable housing has been increased, making it more comfortable to reside in.

“We are confident with the performance records of our partners MGB Berhad and LBS Bina Group, based on their wide experience in using IBS for over a decade,” Amirudin said in his official announcement on Rumah Idaman, which was streamed on Facebook earlier today.

Amirudin also announced six Rumah Idaman projects will be built to aid the people living and working in Selangor, to help them own their first home.

The project is built on strategic locations covering Bandar Saujana Putra, Shah Alam, Puchong, Cybersouth, and Bandar Puncak Alam.

Each unit is 1,000 square feet, with a practical design and is sold for RM250,000. The project’s homes also come with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two parking spots, one television unit, a refrigerator, and a cabinet.
