SHAH ALAM, Oct 13 — The state government has increased the number of worshippers allowed for Friday prayers at the Selangor state mosque to 2,000 people from 1,000 people previously.
In an infographic shared on Facebook by state executive councillor for Islamic affairs Mohd Zawawi Ahmad Mughni, he said the number of worshippers allowed for daily obligatory prayers is still limited to 500 people.
The infographic also showed that mosques and suraus have prohibited any of its officials who are unvaccinated from conducting both Friday prayers and daily obligatory prayers.
“A report must be made to the district religious office, if any unvaccinated mosques or surau officials have been given permission to conduct Friday prayers,” according to the infographic.
