SHAH ALAM, Oct 7 — Universiti Selangor’s (Unisel) Faculty of Education and Social Sciences has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with three higher education institutions from Brunei, Indonesia and Thailand, this week.
Its corporate communications director Hasril Abu Hassan said the institutions were Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (Brunei), Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri Tengku Dirundeng Meulaboh (Indonesia) and Thamavitya Mulniti School (Thailand).
“This MoU aims to increase international cooperation in the aspect of education involving students, academic staff, as well as knowledge sharing and research activities.
“We also aim to provide exposure to the study programmes offered, to strengthen the curriculum, exchange courses, and organise joint educational conferences,” he said in a statement on Facebook.
The signing of the MoUs was conducted virtually on October 5 and 6, by Unisel president and Vice-Chancellor Prof Dato’ Dr Mohammad Redzuan Othman.
Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali was represented by its Rector Dr Norarfan Zainal, Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Negeri Tengku Dirundeng Meulaboh Indonesia by its Rector Dr Inayatillah and Thamavitya Mulniti School by its Principal Razi Bensulong.
