Upgrade works on water treatment plant’s critical assets at 40.4 pct

SHAH ALAM, Oct 13 — The upgrading and maintenance works on critical assets for the Sungai Selangor Phase 1 Water Treatment Plant (SSP1 WTP) has reached 40.4 per cent as of 11am today.

According to Pengurusan Air Selangor (Air Selangor) on Facebook, the work is expected to be completed by11pm tonight.

“As of 11am today, the work’s progress stands at 40.4 per cent,” the statement read.

Previously, the residents in Petaling, Kuala Lumpur, Klang, Shah Alam, Gombak, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat and Kuala Selangor districts were told to restore sufficient water supply.

The consumers in the 998 affected areas can keep up to date with developments at hentitugas.airselangor.com.

Air Selangor will provide 18 public water taps and mobilise 105 water tankers to affected areas, with priority for critical premises including hospitals, dialysis centres and funerals, from October 13 to 16.

Four local water filling stations will be made available for commercial customers to purchase water supply, to be collected using water tankers.
