Water supply in Klang Valley fully restored

SHAH ALAM, Oct 16 — Water supply at 998 areas in Petaling, Klang/Shah Alam, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur, Hulu Selangor, Kuala Langat and Kuala Selangor regions, has been fully restored this evening.

The scheduled water supply disruption that began on October 13 was due to the shutting down of the Sungai Selangor Water Treatment Plant Phase 1 (SSP1 WTP) for upgrading and maintenance works of critical assets.

“Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) would like to thank the consumers for their patience and cooperation during this unscheduled water supply disruption period,” it said in a statement on Facebook at around 6pm today.

Earlier, Air Selangor had expected full water recovery at 9pm today.

The upgrading and maintenance works were completed on schedule and the water supply was distributed in stages to consumers starting at 5pm on October 14.

Consumers are advised to get official information on water supply disruption through Air Selangor application, FacebookInstagram and Twitter or text Air Selangor at 15300, and any queries and complaints can be submitted to the Help Centre on the website www.airselangor.com.
