Works completed, water supply to be restored in stages from 5pm today

SHAH ALAM, Oct 14 — The upgrading and maintenance works for critical assets in Sungai Selangor Phase 1 Water Treatment Plant (SSP1 WTP) have been completed, at 5am today.

Pengurusan Air Selangor Sdn Bhd (Air Selangor) in a statement on Facebook today, informed that the water treatment system at SSP1 WTP has been stabilised and water supply has started to be channelled into the water supply distribution system.

“The water supply to consumers will begin to be distributed in stages at 5pm on October 14 (today).

“The duration of water supply disruption and restoration in the affected areas varied depending on the distance of the location of the consumer’s premises, as well as the water pressure,” said Air Selangor.

Air Selangor said it will continue to mobilise alternative water aid through water tankers to critical premises such as hospitals, dialysis centres, Covid-19 Quarantine and Treatment Centres (PKRC), vaccination centres (PPV) and for funeral ceremonies,” she said.
