MBPJ’s recycling programme promotes use of pre-loved goods

SHAH ALAM, Nov 14 — Petaling Jaya City Council (MBP) in collaboration with IPC Shopping Centre has organised a four-day recycling programme, starting from Thursday.

The local council said the programme, held in conjunction with National Recycling Day 2021, aims to encourage the public to reuse second-hand items.

“Yesterday, the Teach-in Upcycle programme Session 1 was held, which promotes used fabrics.

“Today is the last day of the programme and do not miss the opportunity to participate in two programmes that have been scheduled for the event,” said MBPJ on Facebook.

Among the activities held today include Teach-in Upcycle from recycled items, which runs from 11am until 1pm, at level two of the shopping centre.

Meanwhile, the recycle items drop-off programme can is available at the IPC Recycling and Buy Back Centre at level LG, opposite the designated ladies’ parking lots.
