Over quarter billion in assessment tax collected by MBSA this year

By Mustakim Ramli

SHAH ALAM, Nov 9 — The Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) has collected more than RM270 million in assessment taxes this year, said its mayor Datuk Zamani Ahmad Mansor.

He said this is an encouraging indicator, despite the Covid-19 pandemic.

“We have recorded over 95 per cent in tax payment for two terms this year, and I wish to thank Shah Alam residents who are still willing to pay the tax even though they are affected by the pandemic.

“The collection amount of over RM270 million has exceeded our target,” Zamani said when met after the launch of MBSA Cashless initiative at Dewan Auditorium earlier today.

On July 27, MBSA introduced an online payment method for the assessment tax via the link www.eps.mbsa.gov.my.

Similarly, online payment can only be made via JomPay and the payer needs to insert biller code:7567, new account number on Ref-1 box and phone number on Ref-2 box before key-in the amount.
