SHAH ALAM, Nov 26 — The 2022 Selangor Budget (#Selangor2022), which is slated to be tabled at 3pm today at the State Legislative Assembly, aims to alleviate the state to be in a better and greater position, says Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari.
In embracing the year 2022, the Menteri Besar said the state government had done thorough planning and is prepared to restore the brightness in the people’s lives and the state economy.
He said the experience in facing the Covid-19 pandemic and the state’s success in cushioning its impact through the Kita Selangor Package 1.0 and 2.0 as well as the previous state budget should be seen as a lesson for all to rise together.
He said restoring an affordable cost of living for the people, providing job opportunities, strengthening digitalisation initiatives and access, and efforts to maintain sustainability and natural resources are among the issues addressed in the 2022 state budget.
“With the trust mandated by the people of Selangor, the state government believes that the plans and enforcement of the initiatives in the 2022 Selangor Budget would allow all of us together to rise again to become better and greater,” he said in a pre-recorded video on the state budget shared on Facebook last night.
